Kyrgyz Children’s Future is saddened to report the passing of Goulnara Assanova on March 4, 2023. She was one of Kyrgyz Children’s Future’s founders, and it was her vision upon which the organization is based. She tirelessly advocated for disadvantaged and marginalized children and orphans in Kyrgyzstan. Her passion for helping children came from her own family experience, her own mother having been an orphan. She also offered strong support to families who adopted children from Kyrgyzstan, and enthusiastically and selflessly shared her love of Kyrgyz culture with them. Kyrgyz Children’s Future will continue to honor her vision.
