Speech Therapy Project in Talas
In 2022, Kyrgyz Children’s Future (KCF) worked with the Rehabilitation Speech Therapy Center in the village of Bakai-Ata in the Talas region. KCF funded the purchase of Tomatis equipment and arranged for the center’s doctor to receive specialized training in using it.
The Tomatis therapy supports children with speech, sensory, and other disorders. It is an audio therapy program that has been shown to improve brain function, including motor, emotional, and cognitive abilities. This is the first time that this specialized therapy has been available to families in the Talas region.
