Training for Families with Disabled Children in Batken

In early August, KCF helped to facilitate a 5-day training for disabled children and their mothers through the Kyzyl-Kya Disabled Children’s Center. In Kyrgyzstan, majority of the weight of taking care of disabled children falls on their mothers, and they feel a lot of stress. Therapists came from Bishkek to lead workshops with the mothers and their children, and included a psychologist (who is also a massage therapist), a physical therapist, a speech therapist, and a Su-jok therapist.
